Why Small Libraries Matter

Small libraries offer a treasure trove of resources, fostering literacy and learning while serving as community hubs. They are not just places to borrow books but spaces for connection and growth.

Encourage Lifelong Learning

We support libraries in their mission to provide access to information and resources that promote continuing education.

Foster Community Engagement

Our libraries are vital in building connections among residents, offering a space for events, discussions, and collaboration.

Promote Cultural Heritage

By showcasing local authors and history, small libraries help preserve and celebrate Maine's unique culture and identity.

Support Local Economies

Libraries can drive local business by attracting visitors and providing a venue for community activities.
